My wife was first diagnosed with early onset dementia in 2022.
As a family we just didn’t know what to do, we were confronted with dementia, we were lost! —— We didn’t know what to do! —— We didn’t know where to go! —— We didn’t know where to get help, or how to get support!
There were lots of people who offered help – but – you forgot what they say.
Over the years since the diagnosis I have picked up useful information, suggestions, advice, information and hints that have proved useful, which I wish I had access to when my wife was first diagnosed. I have decided to put these on a website so that if this is affecting you for the first time, you may find help from the advice.
This is an interactive site, and if you have hints that may benefit others, then let me know and I can include your suggestions.
As we live in Huddersfield the suggestions of activities that are taking place during the week are for this locality – but if you want to add another area to this site – again let me know and I can see what we can do.
I have set up this site to help others – it is a not-for-profit site.
